  • Government, Political Parties, and Gen Z to Hold Tripartite Dialogue

Kathmandu — The government, which has been holding intensive talks with concerned stakeholders to create a favorable environment for elections, is set to engage in a tripartite discussion with political parties and the Gen Z group for the first time.

The meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday at 4 PM at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. Representatives from the government, political parties, and Gen Z will take part in the dialogue.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, stated that the joint meeting has been organized to build an electoral atmosphere. He informed that the government has been conducting step-by-step consultations with political parties and related stakeholders to ensure successful elections.

Earlier, on Kartik 4, the government held discussions with political parties.

In the all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, all sides had expressed a positive commitment to creating the necessary environment and conducting elections within the stipulated time.

Several other formal discussions and interactions have also taken place in the meantime.

Concerned parties believe that this formal political dialogue, held after a long gap, has contributed to fostering an environment for elections.

Minister Kharel said that the government has been advancing all necessary preparations for the election. He added that the government has been coordinating with the Election Commission through multiple rounds of talks to ensure a conducive environment. Accordingly, the commission has already begun the required preparations.
